Live-fire exercises planned at Fort Indiantown Gap

FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. (WHTM) – People who live and work near Fort Indiantown Gap may hear increased noise Friday night and Saturday.

The military training facility is scheduled to host artillery live-fire exercises using 105 mm artillery shells between 6-11 p.m. Friday and between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania.

Training that is expected to result in increased noise levels is announced as a courtesy to nearby residents.
