PEQUEA, Pa. (WHTM) – A 66-year-old Pequea man is facing charges after detectives raided his Lake Aldred Terrace home and discovered 139 marijuana plants.
Daniel Earl Austin will head to trial on felony counts of drug manufacturing and dealing.
Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives also seized more than 1 and a half pounds of harvested marijuana, jars of marijuana seeds, lights, soil, drying racks and $18,400 in cash.
Investigators say although it’s unclear how much marijuana would have been harvested from the plants, high-grade marijuana can sell for $300 to $400 per ounce.
Austin waived his preliminary hearing and posted $250,000 bail.
According to the Lancaster County district attorney office, a trial will likely take place next year unless a plea is lodged.
