Harrisburg man jailed for hit-and-run after bar fight

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 33-year-old man was arrested for attempted homicide after he drove his car into another man after a bar fight, city police said.

Norman Marrero, 33, is jailed in Dauphin County Prison on $250,000 bail. Police said they also charged him with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering, DUI, and related summary offenses.

Marrero on October 31 fought with the victim inside a bar in the 2200 block of State Street. He then entered his car and purposely drove into the man, police said.

Marrero fled but was stopped in the 100 block of North 16th Street. Police said the victim identified Marrero as the driver who hit him.

The victim received medical treatment for his injuries and is expected to recover, police said.
