YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A York County man is facing charges he assaulted four police officers who arrested him for drug paraphernalia.
Alexander William Scott, 23, punched and kicked the officers during a struggle Friday, Northern York County Regional police said.
Two of the officers were punched in the face. Two others sustained hand and leg injuries. One required medical treatment.
Scott was transported to York Hospital for treatment of his wounds. Police said he will be charged with four counts of aggravated assault and simple assault, as well as resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substances.
Police said the officers were in the 100 block of Locust Point Road in Conewago Township, near Strinestown, to serve an arrest warrant on someone else. That person was taken into custody without incident.
While serving the warrant, officers said they found a large amount of drug paraphernalia in the room where Scott was found.
