Police investigating tampered candy in Lower Paxton Township

LINGELSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are warning parents to check their children’s trick-or-treat candy. This, after a tampered piece of candy was brought into the police department Thursday.

Police say a resident in Lower Paxton Township found a piece of metal inside a bite-sized Almond Joy candy bar that was received during trick-or-treat night last Thursday on Balthaser Street near Koons Park.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lower Paxton Township Police Department at 717-657-5656.
