4 teens arrested for assault at Chambersburg mall

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Four teenagers have been arrested for an assault where a 21-year-old man was tackled through a plate glass window at the Southgate Mall.

Police said Thursday they charged a 16-year-old and three 15-year-old boys with aggravated assault, riot, and criminal mischief. The teens have been placed in juvenile detention facilities to await hearings.

The group on Oct. 29 surrounded the victim as he walked outside the Family Dollar and began punching him. They threw a trash can at him and then one of them tackled him through the window, police said.

The victim lost a lot of blood and was treated at Chambersburg Hospital for cuts to six parts of his body, police said. He is recovering at home.
