3 teens arrested, 4th sought for armed robbery in West York

WEST YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have charged three teenagers as adults for a gunpoint robbery.

West York police said they’re still looking for a fourth teen who was with the group when they pointed a gun at a woman’s head and stole her purse Wednesday night.

The woman told officers the four teenagers ran up behind her in the area of West Poplar and Hoke streets just before 7 p.m. She was not injured.

The three suspects were arrested after a brief foot chase. The 16- and 17-year-olds, all from York, had a loaded gun, about 40 rounds of ammunition, and a bottle of OxyContin, police said.

Police charged them with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a minor, and possession of a controlled substance.
