Mechanicsburg man endangered child in I-81 road rage incident, police say

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Mechanicsburg man was arrested after police said he pointed a gun at a truck driver on Interstate 81.

Marcus Fludd, 30, believed the trucker was following too closely when he pointed the handgun at him in Middlesex Township on Monday. The gun was pointed just above the head of an 8-year-old boy in the back seat of Fludd’s car, state police said in charging documents.

He also got out of his car and waived the gun at the trucker after both drivers pulled to the side of the interstate, the complaint states.

Fludd was driving with a suspended license and is not permitted to have a gun because he’s a convicted felon. He’s on parole from a 2012 robbery conviction, police said.

He was charged with terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and firearms offenses. His bail at Cumberland County Prison was set at $120,000.
