Lititz woman dies after pedestrian crash

LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) – A woman was struck by a vehicle while walking her dog Monday evening and died at a hospital early Tuesday, authorities said.

Karen D. Grover, 55, was struck as she was crossing the 400 block of Woodcrest Avenue at around 5:45 p.m., according to a news release from the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities identified the driver as 83-year-old Edward T. Blazer of Myerstown. They said he stopped immediately and cooperated fully with police.

The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed.

Grover’s dog was injured and survived after treatment at an animal hospital, according to the news release.
