Shop With Cops event set for December 5

The Harrisburg Police Athletic League opened in 1957 under the leadership of Officer James K. Sunday and provided quality programming in the community until 1977. It has since reopened in 2012 and has served over 300 youth through its main program focuses– mentoring through sports and positive images.

They will host their Shop With Cops event on December 5 where kids can shop with an officer from the Harrisburg Police Dept. Breakfast will be served at the Kingdom Embassy Church (2111 N. 4th St. Harrisburg, Pa 17110) between 9:00am and 10:00am. At 10:30am. A bus will take the shoppers to a local Super Shopping Mart to shop with their police partner for clothes, shoes, toys and holiday gifts for their families from 11:00am-12:30pm. Shoppers and their police partner will end the event wrapping gifts back at the Kingdom Embassy Church from 1:00pm-2:00pm.
