HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Harrisburg man has been convicted of multiple criminal offenses, including an attack on his 67-year-old grandfather.
Police say David Dones was living at his grandfather’s home when it happened last February.
According to a police report, a verbal argument escalated to Dones repeatedly punching his grandfather in the face to the point where he lost consciousness.
Injuries included two black eyes, cuts and lacerations that required stitches, and a knocked out tooth.
A witness who spoke in court said she taught the grandfather was dead when she saw blood all over the living room couch.
Police say Dones is also facing charges for a later incident in the city where he was allegedly at a corner with a black handgun and metal pipe.
When an officer had responded, Dones was reportedly aggressive and screamed continuously.
Dones is facing sentencing for both incidents on November 18.
