HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – A one-time statewide grand jury judge ousted by Attorney General Kathleen Kane in 2013 is accusing her or her agents of stealing files from his office that year.
In a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report Thursday, Barry Feudale accuses Kane or her agents of burglary and theft. A Kane spokesman says he would expect Feudale to back up such a serious allegation with evidence.
The allegation came after Kane reported Feudale, a senior judge, to a judicial ethics agency for what she called a breach of secrecy laws in a separate matter.
Meanwhile, a Montgomery County judge who oversaw a grand jury investigation into Kane says he believes he was under surveillance last fall. But Judge William Carpenter is not saying who he believes was behind it.
Kane faces criminal charges she illegally leaked grand jury information to a newspaper.
