Hampden Township residents at odds over feral cats

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) – Residents of a Hampden Township neighborhood are at odds over feral cats.

Neighbors said there are approximately 20 feral cats living in the Country Club Park area, most of them around Little Run Road.

Residents said the cats became a problem about five years ago. Central Penn Animal Alliance helped to trap, neuter and release the cats. Some neighbors are feeding those cats.

Other neighbors are asking township leaders to pass an ordinance to keep people from feeding feral cats.  Those same residents said feral cats are a problem because they defecate in yards and kill birds.

Hear from residents on both sides of the argument tonight at 5:30 and 6:00 on ABC 27.
