Large turnout at the Carlisle Fairgrounds electronic recycling event

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – As technology continues to improve and advance, people are looking to upgrade and get rid of their older devices.

In order to get rid of old technology safely a large recycling event was held on October 24th at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.

Employees and volunteers helped collect computers, monitors, printers and televisions.

“The recycler were using is Vintage Tech, who is owned by a larger company called Kusakowski they have processing plants in Philadelphia so the material will go back to Philadelphia to the processing plants”, said Justin Miller from the Cumberland County Recycling and Waste Department.
