Pair sought in hit and run at Lancaster car wash

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say a couple caused significant damage when they crashed into a wall at a car wash and then fled the scene.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the Sundance Car Wash along the 1700 block of Lincoln Highway East.

According to a police report, a young woman driving a red Hyundai Elantra, accelerated in reverse and struck a block wall and steel door.

The woman was reportedly accompanied by a man. Police say after the crash, he got into the driver’s seat and drove away with her.

The vehicle should have impact damage on the rear and driver’s side, according to police.

Damage costs have reportedly estimated to $2,000.
