LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A city woman will spend six months on house arrest for beating her 10-year-old daughter with a belt.
Quottysha Thomas, 35, must also spend three months on electronic-monitor supervision, followed by 14 months of parole, then eight years of probation, according to the Lancaster County district attorney’s office.
Thomas had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and child endangerment charges.
The girl told police her mother hit her about 15 times with a belt. School staffers had noticed her bruises and swelling in January.
Thomas will keep custody of her daughter if she complies with parenting classes and other directives from Children & Youth Services.
