PA Turnpike reopens after crash

UPDATE: (8:46 a.m.) — The Turnpike reopened as of 8:41 a.m. Tuesday following a crash.


A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike is closed because of a crash at milepost 285, that’s near the exit for Reading.

According to officials, the crash involves an overturned tractor-trailer and happened in the eastbound lanes around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Additional information on the crash was not immediately available.

Drivers will be detoured to take State Route 72 North to Route 322 East to US Route 222 North before re-entering the PA Turnpike at Reading Interchange.
