HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police seized over $42 million in heroin, cocaine and other illegal drugs between July and September.
The agency announced Friday that troopers seized more than 416 pounds of cocaine and over 47 pounds of heroin during the third quarter of 2015. The combined street value of the drugs is estimated at nearly $35 million.
Troopers additionally seized more than 1,500 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value over $4.5 million, and over 15 pounds of methamphetamine valued at more than $720,000.
In the previous quarter, troopers seized $34 million in illegal drugs, including $27 million in heroin and $2.9 million in cocaine.
So far this year, state police have seized $92 million worth of drugs, including $50 million worth of heroin.
