YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Parents and public health experts were talking clean energy and climate action in York Thursday.
Moms Clean Air Force, a national organization, is advocating for children’s health when it comes to air quality and climate change.
The group held a press conference hoping Pa. Republican Senator Pat Toomey will join Pa. Democratic Senator Bob Casey in support of America’s Clean Power Plan.
One of the main concerns is carbon pollution contributing to dirty air.
“If we don’t move away from pollution that is triggering their asthma attacks and that is warming our climate, our childrens’ future is going to be greatly impacted,” said Trisha Sheehan of Moms Clean Air Force.
Moms Clean Air Force is in favor of renewable energy, claiming it has better health and economic impacts.
