HUMMELSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Two men are facing charges after an argument led to gunfire at a convenience store, police said.

Colter Vasser, 26, of Harrisburg, and Abner Espinosa, 22, of Middletown, were arrested Wednesday night at the Turkey Hill store at 1025 Middletown Road, according to Derry Township police.

Vasser was arguing with the mother of his 3-year-old child during a scheduled custody exchange and the dispute escalated into a minor physical confrontation.

Espinosa, the woman’s husband, stepped out of his vehicle and displayed a handgun. He ordered Vasser to get back in his car, then lowered the gun and fired a single shot into the pavement, police said in a news release.

No one was injured by the gunfire.

Vasser is charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct. Espinosa is charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering, and disorderly conduct.

Both men were placed in Dauphin County Prison on $2,500 bail.
