LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Leola man will serve six months of house arrest for possessing a large collection of child pornography with his son.

Karl Neuenschwander, 45, must also serve six-and-a-half years of supervision, according to the Lancaster County district attorney’s office. He pleaded guilty to felony charges and was sentenced Monday in county court.

As part of the sentence, he must register under Megan’s Law, undergo counseling, and is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with unrelated children.

Police charged Neuenschwander and his son, 20-year-old Jack T. Neuenschwander, after they found numerous child pornography images and videos on their home computer last year.

Jack Neuenschwander initially received a probation sentence, but authorities said he broke a judge’s order when he viewed pornography online and accessed the Internet using another person’s name and account.

He is serving a 6-to-23-month prison sentence.
