Rash of thefts, vehicle entries reported in West Hempfield

MOUNTVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say numerous vehicles were entered over the weekend in West Hempfield Township and Mountville.

Township police said 15 vehicles were entered and property was stolen from about six cars between Friday and Sunday. All of the cars were unlocked.

In addition, two unlocked garden sheds were entered and various tools were taken, and one house was entered from an open garage door and another unlocked vehicle was entered, but nothing was taken.

The thieves stole more that $340 in cash plus GPS units, phones and a video game system.

The incidents occurred in the 300 block of Huntington Drive, the 400 block of Hillside Drive, the 200 block of Spring Hill Lane, the 300 block of Highland Drive, the 3600 block of Witmer Circle, the first block of Pennridge Avenue, the 500 block of Goldfinch Drive, and the 400 block of East New Street.
