Man chased Linglestown Middle School student to bus stop, police say

LINGLESTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Police said a man chased a Linglestown Middle School student to her bus stop Monday morning.

Lower Paxton Township police said they have identified the man, who is homeless, be he was not in custody as of Monday afternoon.

They said officers will have a heavy presence in the area until he is arrested.

The girl was walking to her bus stop at Ryan Drive and Lancaster Avenue in the Clermont subdivision when the man began chasing her. Police said she ran to a neighbor’s house and the man stopped on the sidewalk.

When no one was at the home, the girl ran to her bus stop. The man chased her again, but it appears he was frightened away by the presence of other children at the stop, police said.

He did not speak during the incident, police said.
