Fight in Ephrata ends with stabbing

EPHRATA, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say a fight between two Ephrata men ended in a stabbing late Friday night.

It happened at a residence in the 100 block of Church Avenue.

According to police, Gavin Duane Rea, 23, and Ceaser Sanchez, 27, are both facing assault charges for their involvement in the fight.

Police say one of the men was stabbed in the chest with a steak knife and had to be treated in the hospital.

Police believe the altercation stemmed from their relationship with a woman.

Rea has been charged with aggravated assault and simple assault. Sanchez is charged with simple assault, defiant trespass and harassment.
