Update Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. – Selena Forman has been reunited with her family and is home, police said.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – An 18-year-old Lower Paxton Township woman who was reported missing has been in touch with her family, police said.
Township police said Selena Forman contacted her mother via text message Monday morning and told her that she is fine.
Police are still trying to contact Forman to verify that she is okay.
Forman’s family reported that they hadn’t heard from her since her car broke down Saturday night. However, police said information that her car was found abandoned is untrue.
Officers and River Rescue searched two Susquehanna River islands overnight, but they said the search was the result of an inaccurate tracking system on Forman’s cell phone. Nothing was found on the islands and her phone has since shown other locations, authorities said.
Police said there are no indications of foul play.
