LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster man is headed to trial in the fatal heroin overdose of a Lititz teenager.

Desmond Vargas, 18, waived a preliminary hearing last week on drug dealing and involuntary manslaughter charges, according to the Lancaster County district attorney’s office.

Authorities said Vargas sold 10 or 12 bags of heroin to an 18-year-old man who died after using the drugs July 20.

An autopsy showed the victim died of cardiac arrest due to the overdose.
