HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – State police have identified a man who died in a wrong-way crash on Route 22/322 north of Harrisburg last week.
Jessie Washington, 72, of Harrisburg, was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes Thursday afternoon when he struck another car head-on between the Dauphin and Front Street exits, state police spokesman Trooper Robert Hicks said.
The other driver, 51-year-old Zina Cashner of Watsontown, was transported to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, Hicks said.
Police believe Washington may have been suffering from a medical condition.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes for about two hours.
