Cumberland County Prison to host drill Tuesday

CARLISLE, Pa.  (WHTM) – People traveling near the Cumberland County Prison may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles on Tuesday.

The prison will be holding a full-scale exercise with several agencies including the county sheriff’s department and the Department of Public Safety, spokeswoman Megan Silverstrim said in a news release.

The exercise is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Silverstrim said there is no scheduled visitation during the hours of the exercise, and the prison administration office will be closed to outside visitors as well.
