Fire causes damage to Martin’s building and trucks

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Fire caused damage to Martin’s Pastry Shoppe building and two trailer trucks around 6:30 this morning in Chambersburg.

The fire is believed to have started in one of the trailer trucks that had been backed up into the loading docks. The fire spread quickly to another trailer truck and into the building where it continued upward to the roof.

All employees were unharmed and escaped to a nearby parking lot. No firefighters were injured as well.

Eight fire companies responded to the fire and the remained until about 10:30 a.m.

The shop is located on 1000 Potato Roll Lane, they are known for their famous potato rolls.
