The Pomfret Group to host sixth annual Beer Crawl in the Fall event

Formed in 1996, The Pomfret Group is a not-for-profit neighborhood umbrella organization that brings together businesses and residents of the So-Hi Arts District for the purpose of revitalization. They are dedicated to creating healthier downtown communities through partnerships between committed local businesses and residents working together for sustainable downtown growth. They accomplish this through Pomfret Group Initiatives – annual events and projects designed to bring life and beauty to our downtown.

An annual event, The Beer Crawl in the Fall combines local merchants, regionally renowned musicians, award winning art exhibits, and craft beer and food tastings into an afternoon celebration of the autumn, and our community.11159525_956149537783214_666125271288200446_n

The first block of West Pomfret Street will celebrate the 6th Annual Beer Crawl in the Fall with art displays, musical performances, and craft beer and food tastings on October 3 from noon until five P.M.

With 10 participating merchants/beer stops, The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society Art show, music by the Topper Broz band, street cartoonists and musicians, and a home-brew beer competition, there is something for everyone.

New this year is The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s 36th Annual International Juried Exhibition at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center.

Tickets for this event are $18 in advance, and can be purchased in person at Pat Craig Studios, Majorie’s Gems, Castlerigg Wine Shop, Artist Market of Pomfret, and Lili’s Place, online at, or via the “book now” button on their facebook page .
