Pups dumped along highway ready for new homes

(Perry County Animal Rescue)

MILLERSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Five puppies dumped along a central Pennsylvania highway are ready for adoption.

Hetty and her four brothers – Harry, Henry, Horton and Hubert – have been at the Perry County Animal Rescue since last month when they were found along Route 283 in Dauphin County.

Authorities haven’t tracked down whoever abandoned the English coonhounds, leaving them hungry and infested with fleas and worms, but their caretakers say the pups have been vaccinated and dewormed and are healthy and growing fast.

Anyone is interested in adopting one of the pups can call the rescue at 717-589-3005 and make an appointment to meet them.
