Police looking for owner of Ten Commandments lawn ornament

ENOLA, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say the commandment “Thou shalt not steal” was broken when someone swiped an ornamental display from someone’s lawn.

East Pennsboro Township police say the concrete lawn ornament – with the Ten Commandments in English in one side and Hebrew on the other – was found on someone else’s property.

“I believe that somebody stole it from somebody’s lawn display and apparently they didn’t read down to Commandment 8 before they took it,” Lt. Mark Green said.

The theft was not reported to East Pennsboro, so police are trying to track down the owner.

To claim it, call the police department at 717-732-3633.
