RED LION, Pa. (WHTM) – A York County magisterial district judge accused of crimes against four women who appeared in his courtroom is headed to trial.
All charges against Jeffrey Scott Joy were held for court following his preliminary hearing Friday.
Joy, 50, of New Freedom, is charged with bribery, official oppression, indecent assault, and harassment.
Prosecutors say Joy offered to vacate a woman’s court fines and expunge her criminal record if she modeled lingerie for him.
The woman is among three who accuse Joy of visiting their homes after they appeared in his courtroom. One says the judge groped her in her apartment.
A fourth woman accuses Joy of making sexual comments to her in his courtroom.
He has been suspended without pay.
