Police ID suspect in Lancaster city homicide

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Authorities have identified a suspect in connection to a homicide over the weekend in the city.

Police say 30-year-old Jaime Alberto Santiago-Leon is wanted for the murder of 26-year-old Luis Santiago.

On September 5, police responded to the 800 block of E. Chestnut Street for a report a shooting.

According to the police report, Santiago-Leon and Santiago were in an argument at a party when Santiago-Leon drew out a handgun and shot Santiago in the face.

Santiago was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say several people witnessed the shooting, many of whom which were interviewed by investigators.

Santiago-Leon is considered to be armed and dangerous. He is described as being approximately 5’6” tall and weighs about 145 pounds with hazel/green colored eyes.
