Convicted sex offender gets 7-14 years for giving police bad phone number

Thomas Lee Weik (Lancaster County District Attorney's Office)

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A convicted sex offender will spend up to 14 years in prison for not telling police where he lived and giving them a bad phone number.

Thomas Lee Weik, 35, of Brecknock Township, was sentenced Thursday by Judge Joseph Madenspacher to 7-14 years, according to the Lancaster County district attorney’s office.

Weik was convicted in South Carolina in 2002 of sexually abusing a child.

Under Megan’s Law, he was required to register with police, but prosecutors said he didn’t give his address and supplied a disconnected phone number multiple times last year.
