Tickets for pope’s speech gone within minutes

PHILADELPHIA (WHTM) – Tickets are no longer available for a Pope Francis event at the Independence Mall in Philadelphia.

Organizers said the 10,000 tickets were snatched up two minutes after they were made available online at noon Tuesday.

The pope will be giving a speech on immigration and religious freedom in front of Independence Hall on Sept. 26.

10,000 tickets for the reserve area of the Festival of Families on Sept. 26 and 10,000 more for the reserve area of the Papal Mass on Sept. 27 will be made available online at noon Wednesday.

The tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis at www.WorldMeeting2015.org.

People are limited to four tickets each.
