UPDATE at 11:40 a.m. – Erin James, a York City School District spokeswoman, said several Goodridge Academy students become ill on their way to school and were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The students’ parents have been contacted.
James said she could not immediately release any further details because the district’s investigation of the incident continues.
YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Four or five students needed medical attention for unknown reasons after they were found in a park near William Penn High School this morning.
A 911 dispatcher said the students were transported to York Hospital for treatment after they were found in Penn Park at around 9 a.m.
A dispatcher said the teens did not have trauma, but did not know what caused the medical emergency.
All were reported to be conscious and breathing.
