HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – In response to the national protest against Planned Parenthood, both Pro-Life and Planned Parenthood supporters gathered in Harrisburg.
Pro-Life supporters planned a protest to share how they felt about the recent information regarding Planned Parenthood.
However, Planned Parenthood supporters wanted to share their side as well, so they showed up along North Second Street as well.
Christine Delagdo, Pro-Life supporter, said, “I also believe that Planned Parenthood should be defunded. The reality is that they have so much revenue from just abortions alone that there’s no reason why Americans should have to pay that. The majority of Americans just don’t believe in anymore.”
Executive Director of Planned Parenthood PA Advocates, Sari Stevens, said, “Sixty-nine percent of Pennsylvania’s support continued family planning services at Planned Parenthood. So we know the vast majority of the public is with us. We know these folks are an outlier. I really wish that they would join forces with us in reducing unintended pregnancy and abortion.”
This protest takes place every year.
