NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Country superstar Carrie Underwood took to her official Facebook page to announce her new album and single Thursday.
The album, “Storyteller” is set to be released on October 23.
The first single off the album, “Smoke Break” will begin playing on radio stations across the country Monday.
“It’s basically an anthem for every hard-working person. We all wear many hats and are spread thin, so we can all relate to being tired and needing a break,” Underwood said. “This song is about having that moment to be able to escape from whatever it is that’s stressing you out and have some time for yourself.”
“Smoke Break” will be available for digital download beginning at midnight.
Underwood has sold more than 56 million albums worldwide with her four previous albums. She’s has a total of 21 No. 1 hits and won 7 Grammy Awards, among others.
