MT. JOY, Pa. (WHTM) – A Mountville man is behind bars on assault charges.
Police say Matthew W. Heisey fired a gunshot while at his estranged wife’s home early Sunday.
The accusation stems from a 911 call made by Heisey’s wife. She told police that Heisey made threats to physically harm her.
Police suggested she leave her home on the 100 block of East Main Street. Officers then proceeded to wait for her outside her home. That’s where they witnessed Heisey enter the home.
According to police, Heisey fired a single round from a handgun from the rear of the house.
Heisey was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, stalking, and terroristic threats.
He is being held at Lancaster County Prison on $250,000 bail.
