Red Land wins Mid-Atlantic championship, heading to Williamsport

BRISTOL, Connecticut — (WHTM) UPDATE: Red Land’s Cole Wagner throws a complete game to lead his team to a 12-0 win over New Jersey to capture the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship. Red Land will be the first Little League team in our area in 25 years to head to Williamsport. The first game will be next Friday.

PRIOR:

Red Land’s Chayton Krauss hits a two-run home run to give Pennsylvania an 8-0 lead over New Jersey.

Red Land tacks on two more runs off a double to take a 6-0 lead over New Jersey in the top of the 6th inning.

Pitcher Cole Wagner gets himself out of trouble to end the bottom of the 5th inning. He has six strikeouts in the game and is three outs away from a championship.

Red Land adds another run in the 5th inning to take a 5-0 lead over New Jersey.

Red Land has an early 2-0 lead in the third inning over New Jersey in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Final.

If the team from the Midstate wins, they will play in the Little League World Series. It will be the first time a local team has played in the tournament since 1990 when Shippensburg won.
