LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – An 11-year-old boy was charged after police said they pulled over a stolen car and found him behind the wheel.
City police said they charged the boy with receiving stolen property. His name was not released because of his age.
The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported stolen Saturday afternoon. The victim said a man between 16 and 20 years old offered to park the Jeep for him at Lancaster General Hospital, but drove off with the SUV instead.
Around 11 p.m. that night, police spotted the Grand Cherokee on South Water Street and stopped it. That’s when they found the 11-year-old in the driver’s seat.
