HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Harrisburg woman has been arrested on allegations she encouraged her 12-year-old son to join in an attack on his babysitters.
Latasha Twyman, 33, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of corruption of minors and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, according to court records. She was then placed in Dauphin County Prison on $125,000 cash bail.
Police said Twyman, her son, and Jose Rivera went to a home in the 2000 block of Zarker Street where Rivera used a baseball bat to strike a 25-year-old man several times Friday night.
Twyman allegedly joined in the attack and encouraged her son to pick up a shovel and help, police said. Rivera and the boy also face assault charges.
The 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were treated for injuries at Harrisburg Hospital. Authorities said the two babysat the boy earlier in the day and the parents were upset with how they treated the boy.
