SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Shippensburg couple accused of breaking into rental storage units across Cumberland and Franklin counties have been charged with additional crimes.
Christy F. Russell, 29, and Daniel Russell, 31, were arraigned last week on 18 additional counts including burglary and theft, according to Shippensburg police and court records.
Police said the new charges stem from burglaries of rental storage units at Sherman and Martin avenues.
Authorities also charged a third person, 33-year-old Robert Haubert. They said he helped Daniel Russell steal a motorcycle and an ATV from rental storage unit, and both were recovered at his property.
All three waived their right to a preliminary hearing.
Christy and Daniel Russell are accused of several other drug-related crimes in the Chambersburg, Carlisle and Newville areas, including vehicle break-ins at the Claremont Nursing Home in Middlesex Township and the Church of God home in North Middleton Township.
