Police incident cleared, streets reopened in Harrisburg

UPDATE at 7:15 p.m. – Police say there was a shooting around 12:30. A suspect shot at a vehicle, then ran into the house. When the home was searched, no one was found.


UPDATE at 6 p.m. – A police van and officers with body armor and tactical gear have arrived at the scene. Negotiators could be heard using a loudspeaker in an attempt to communicate with the suspect.


HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Streets around North 4th and Woodbine streets have been shut down for a police incident.

Police were called to the area for a report of shots fired at around 12:45 p.m. and remained on the scene through the afternoon.

911 dispatchers said there were no reports of injuries.

ABC 27’s Chris Davis reported several police officers are standing outside and home and have taped off the area. A police officer with a search warrant arrived at the scene just before 5:30 p.m., but the warrant was not immediately served.
