STEELTON, Pa. (WHTM) – One person was killed in a shooting that stemmed from a home invasion late Sunday in the 300 block of Lincoln Street, according to the coroner.
Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick said the deceased is believed to be one of two men who attacked a man and woman who live in the home.
The investigation is ongoing. Hetrick has scheduled a news conference Tuesday.
The male resident of the home was also shot and is expected to survive.
Police Chief John King said the couple told officers they were attacked when they came home just before midnight. The two said the men forced them inside at gunpoint and zip-tied their hands.
The argument became physical and shots were fired. The male resident was shot in the arm and leg and transported to a hospital. The woman was not injured.
The victims told police they don’t know the suspects.
King said the two were targeted and the attack was not random.
