Lightning sparks fire at Camp Hill home

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) – A lightning strike is believed to have set a home ablaze early Monday in Camp Hill.

The fire started around 1:20 a.m. at home on Farmhouse Lane. By the time crews arrived, it was fully engulfed in flames.

Homeowners were away on vacation at the time of the fire, but a family dog, trapped inside, was killed.

Residents from neighboring homes were evacuated by crews.

The State Fire Marshall determined lightning struck the home, causing it to catch fire.
