LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – An Annville man is behind bars after police say he fired shots in the air, striking the bedroom of a 15-year-old.
The incident began at the backyard of a home on the 100 block of S. 3rd Street.
Police say an argument broke out between Jason Snavely, 34, and a 31-year-old woman. She and her daughter began to walk away when Snavely grabbed his .40-caliber handgun and fired 2 to 3 rounds in the air.
Snavely continued firing rounds in the air, sending a bullet across the street to the bedroom of a 15-year-old girl.
Police caught up to Snavely as he was in vehicle attempting to leave. He was arrested after a brief struggle.
Snavely’s gun, which was legally owned, was recovered at the scene. No injuries were reported.
Snavely is charged with aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.
He was arraigned and is now in prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
