HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The 23rd annual Pride Festival of Central PA will take place on Saturday, July 24 at Riverfront Park in Harrisburg.
More than 4,800 people attended last years event after state lawmakers made same sex marriage legal in Pennsylvania.
Since then, the Supreme Court made it legal nationwide.
Brad Martin says the festival provides an opportunity for all people to get together.
Martin says they have more vendors and sponsors this year, than ever before.
“They support that fact they even though people are different, we are all created equal,” said Martin. “We have seen interest grow in supporting the festival, and we hope it continues.”
The Pride Festival runs from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Admission is $9, children 12 and under are free.
