Police: Millersville man stole $100K from doctor

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested after police said he embezzled close to $100,000 from a Maryland doctor’s practice.

George Thomas, 56, was hired to do payroll services for the doctor while doing business as Millersville Tax Services, borough police said.

Thomas, who also goes by the name George T. Kuzhivelil, is charged with one count of theft by deception and one count of failure to make required disposition of funds, both third-degree felonies.

He was arraigned Monday and released on $100,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for August 26.

Police said Thomas may have taken money from others. Anyone who believes they may have been victimized should call Sgt. Jeffrey Margevich or Sgt. Jason Scott at 717-872-4657.
